Setting out and materialising a vision, I’ve come to learn, it’s certainly all about the long game. A person that can stand by their vision is bound to achieve success.
As of late, I can’t help but think about the companies that are into solar panels. About 10 to 15 years ago, the majority wouldn’t have been convinced to put solar panels in their homes. Can you imagine how these companies must have been puzzling trying to convince us that this was the way of the future? We would have probably slammed the phone down or shut the door on them and their ideas.
Now, it’s become an expensive necessity! Imagine if they would have given up on their vision of how this will be the future and change the world. These people are most in-demand right now! Reading books and speaking to so many successful people through my work, I have come to realise this.
To be successful, you have to have the ultimate vision and goal. Know your WHY! Thereafter, chunk it down into smaller goals that you carry out until you make that vision a reality. Never give up and give in! If you can do that, you WILL have your moment of glory.
One of the people that epitomises this for me right now is Springbok rugby captain Siya Kolisi. His limits are boundless! His vision started at about 12 years of age and he hasn’t stopped since. Constantly elevating himself to new heights with dimensional accomplishments.
We are currently going through some tough economic times, but don’t lose sight of your ‘Why’. Buckle down, do what’s necessary to ride this wave and you will rise to the top. Your turn is coming! Stay steadfast and resolute and constantly keep your eye on the prize.
