Fear and self-doubt are unquestionably two of the most common roadblocks to success in life. A large percentage of people allow fear and self-doubt to hold them hostage to a reality that they don’t love. However, there are those that don’t. So, if they can do it, so can you!
Fear
Fear is nothing more than internal energy, and with coaching it can be channelled into something that drives you as opposed to something that paralyses you. Those that become paralysed by fear have a strong aversion to failing which causes them to resist moving forward to achieve their goals.
Once you are able to distinguish between the fear that prevents you from harm versus the fear that stands in your way of achieving your goals, you won’t allow it to have a hold on you anymore. When embarking on a new venture in your life it is normal to have some apprehension and fear – it should only make you pause not stop altogether.
Doubt
Self-doubt causes you to question your abilities such as, “Can I really do this?” or “What if I exert a lot of time and energy into this venture and it fails?” or “What will others think if I don’t succeed?” This will prevent you from experiencing the exciting and enlightening possibilities that life has to offer you.

Once instructed about what leaves us feeling comfortable, our mind will do whatever it takes to keep us comfortable. Any deviation from this level of comfort causes our mind and body to react to get us back on track. Fear and doubts are experienced to ensure we stay exactly where we are.
Think about the last time you attempted to do something new that is good for you. For example, you decided you want to work on getting a summer body. So you join an exercise program that requires you to train a minimum of three times per week and you start following a strict eating plan.
At the beginning of the program, you are all amped and diligent in your eating and training. However, as time goes by you start questioning whether you really have the time to train or how challenging it is to prepare different meals for just yourself.
